INFRAMAG for the future transport
Low costs for investment, operation and maintenance
* All components are standardized and factory made and assembled on site
* Pillars and bridge girders are all steel. A 30 meter bridge girder weighs only 35 tonnes and can be lifted into place with a smaller crane and the transport of girders requires no more than normal timber road standard
* Existing stations can be upgraded, and current rolling stock can be used until phased out
* Very low land redemption costs
* No snow removal as the snow falls between the tracks onto the ground
* Unlikely risk of derailment where locomotives or wagons end up on the ground
* Unlikely risk of downtime due to collision with other vehicles, animals or people
* Small risk of copper theft and other damage to the railway
* A rail has a long life as all 4 sides can be used as a contact surface against the train wheels by the rail being lifted up and turned over with the new side as a contact surface
* When setting the ground, the height of the pillar can be easily lightened
* Easy to replace damaged parts
* The painting lasts for about 40 years and the bridge girders can be repainted without obstructing train traffic
